In januari 2026 is Egmond aan Zee hét toneel van drie grote sportevenementen: de GP Groot Egmond-Pier-Egmond, de Egmond Halve Marathon en de Egmond Wandel Marathon. Duizenden fietsers, hardlopers en wandelaars reizen af naar de Noord-Hollandse kust om het nieuwe jaar sportief te beginnen. En het mooie is: je kunt er gemakkelijk komen met het openbaar vervoer.


Zaterdag 10 januari – GP Groot Egmond-Pier-Egmond

De eerste sportieve zaterdag van het jaar staat in het teken van strandfietsen. Bij de 25e editie van de GP Groot Egmond-Pier-Egmond fietsen deelnemers over het strand en door de duinen. Het parcours is nooit hetzelfde door de wisselende wind en zandcondities.


Zondag 11 januari – Egmond Halve Marathon

Een dag later nemen hardlopers het over. Met afstanden van 21,1 km en 10,5 km is deze halve marathon een combinatie van strand, duinen en pure winterbeleving.


Zaterdag 24 & zondag 25 januari – Egmond Wandel Marathon

Twee weken later start het wandelseizoen. De routes brengen je via strand en duinen naar Egmond-Binnen, Castricum aan Zee, Bergen aan Zee en de Schoorlse Duinen.


Zo reis je naar Egmond aan Zee

Egmond aan Zee heeft geen treinstation, maar is eenvoudig bereikbaar:

  1. Neem de trein naar Station Alkmaar of Station Heiloo.
  2. Stap over op buslijn 165 of 167 richting Egmond aan Zee.
  3. Stap uit bij halte Centrum – op loopafstand van start- en finishlocaties.

Met deze route vermijd je parkeerdrukte en reis je relaxed naar je sportieve uitdaging.
